Welcome to Noticeably Noted, a design studio based in Round Rock, Texas that specializes in customized stationery and invitations.
When I was fairly young, a relative bought me a pack of 100 personalized pencils. This may not seem like a big deal, but to someone whose name never appears in pre-made “personalized” items, I was thrilled to have something made just for me.
A few years ago, I was looking for some custom stationery after buying a new house. After looking through several websites, I found that most stationery was either too boring, too expensive or required too large of an initial order. I had the brief flickering of a thought that by using my graphic design background, I could make something better. I began looking into creating a business, creating concepts of what I wanted to make and trying to figure out what I would need to launch my own stationery shop.
In January 2016, I formed Noticeably Noted and opened shop March 1, 2016. This shop is full of stationery designs that I would be proud to use myself. I have designed each product and print, package and ship each item with care. I love corresponding with customers and I take great pride in making something personalized just for them.
I was never supposed to be an artist. I distinctly remember my mother encouraging me to stick with Chorus classes because art classes were for “students that weren’t bright enough to get into Chorus or Band” (in all fairness, my mom has nothing against the arts but perhaps that was true of the school system at the time). To say the least, my parents were floored when I took my first art class in over 7 years as a filler class during my senior year of high school and decided that I wanted to major in Graphic Design rather than continuing to study Computer Programming. A few years after graduating college, I landed a job as a Web Designer where I’ve been ever since (the perfect blend of my design and development background). I’ve continued taking online courses with Sessions College of Art, Team Treehouse, Codecademy and Skillshare since graduation to make sure that I’m always up to date on the latest technology.
In 2014, my husband and I made the leap to move from our hometown in Maryland to Round Rock, TX. We bought our first house in January 2015 and have been enjoying making it our home.
