It’s funny how sometimes you can have such a clear plan and it takes one thing to totally throw everything out of whack. In the beginning of December, I had decided to take some extra leave around Christmas to get everything up and running for an Etsy shop launch in January (that’s right you guys…a shop is coming!!!) but after a death in the family and an unexpected week back in MD, that isn’t exactly how things panned out. On the upside, I was only planning on seeing my in-laws over the holidays and instead got to spend a week with the majority of my extended family.
Moving onwards and upwards! I came back to TX a few days before Christmas, ended up spending most of my leave preparing to host our first Christmas in our new home and settling back into my normal routine. When my husband announced that he would be in Dallas for work for the weekend, part of me was slightly thrilled because this means that I have the entire day to work on Etsy stuff. That being said, it’s currently lunch time and I’m just getting started. A for effort though, right?
So here’s the latest news for the month:
-We just celebrated our first year in our first home a few days ago! 12 mortgage payments down…I don’t want to count how many to go.
-I’m launching an Etsy shop! After much encouragement from friends and family to get back to my print design work, I’ve decided to pursue the shop as my side hustle. Hoping to launch on March 1st.
-Did I mention I’m launching an Etsy shop? Holy moley I have a lot of work to do between now and then.
Added bonus: any time I type “a lot” I can’t help but think of Alot. If you haven’t read that before, you’re welcome. Now back to working on some new designs.
