As I began thinking this post over, I was trying to think of a good title. This one seemed as good as any other. As packages start coming in for the holidays, there are some going in oddball places as an attempt to hide them from my husband. Currently, there’s an 18″ wood cutout in the shape of a pepper in a drawer. I’ll have more on that later, but I definitely think that’s the oddest placed object right now.
November is already off to busy start. I always say that busy is better than bored though. I’m participating in the sketch a day session on Skillshare, which has kept my evenings busier than usual. Here are a few of my favorite sketches that have come from the project so far:
The drop in the weather has certainly made for some changes here. My baking season kicked off with all sorts of halloween treats and hasn’t slowed down yet. Thankfully with the cooler weather, my running bug has kicked in so I’ve been on two good runs this week. Christmas present production is well under way and keeping me busy in the evenings. Thankfully, my husband is off work for the next three days so with any luck, we’ll knock it all out relatively quickly.
Speaking of Christmas, we bought our tree! I’ve had the same raggedy 4 foot tree since college, so I’m very excited to upgrade to a “grown up” full size tree. There was quite the debate between whether we should get a real tree or an artificial one, but since we have two living areas in the house, we opted for an artificial tree for now. If we decide to get a real tree later, the fake one will probably go into the living/media room upstairs.
There are a few other things in progress that I’m working on that I can’t wait to post about, but am waiting to do so until things are a little more finalized. So stay tuned!
